Mission Travel has a wonderful partnership with a Christian organisation in Kenya called ACTS. ACTS facilitate mission teams and offer individual volunteer placements.

Your time away will be mixed and varied. Spending time with orphaned and vulnerable children, preparing meals and helping out in the kitchen and running a bible study in one of Nairobi's largest slums are some of the activities you can experience.

No specific skills are required but ACTS can tailor a program to suit your skills if you are a teacher, nurse or some other profession.

Accommodation, transport and meals are all included.

Many of the projects heavily rely on help from volunteers and there is currently a severe shortage for the remainder of 2011. Can you help?

Prices start at $999 for a 2 week placement up to $4999 for 12 weeks.
