One of the great things about going on a short term mission trip is the opportunity to support, assist and encourage long term missionaries out in the field.
We have the opportunity in Kenya right now to do this. We have some amazing missionaries serving in the far North of Kenya. Mission Travel is partnering with them to run a rural medical clinic in this area as a way of ministering to the local community, and showing the love of Christ.
These missionaries are SO EXCITED about our team coming and have spents months preparing, and many more months praying for a clinic such as this.
We need 2 more people to join this trip to make it worthwhile. Is one of those people you? If yes, there's not much time as we depart on June 17, 2011!
If you are medically qualified (i.e. nurse, doctor, physio) then that's a HUGE bonus. If you are just eager to come and serve in any way you are told, then that is PERFECT!
This mission trip will benefit the impoverished commnities we are working in for a short time, but it will validate and invigorate these hard working missionaries even more so.
So if you have $5,000 and the ability to take leave at short notice, please pray about whether God is calling you to serve on this mission trip.
