Yellow Fever outbreaks in Uganda

Thursday, 3rd March 2011

Following recent announcements by the Ugandan Ministry of Health please be informed that there have been confirmed reports of Yellow Fever outbreak in Northern Uganda.

In this regard we would like to advise all our clients that it is vital to ensure proper vaccination and certification, for travellers 9 months and older, prior to travelling to or from countries endemic for yellow fever.

Please be advised it is NOW mandatory to present a valid Yellow Fever Certificate of Vaccination as proof at all points of entry into Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

Travellers to Zanzibar, arriving from non-endemic countries are not required to present vaccination certification but it is highly recommended they get vaccinated for their own safety.

Travellers arriving into Tanzania without a valid certificate will be vaccinated at the airport at a fee of USD 50.
