"I had the privilege of fulfilling my life-long dream of volunteering overseas in Africa. Mission Travel Group recommended various volunteer projects. I was most interested in and ended up volunteering in an ACTS project - Limuru, Kenya. This was my first trip overseas. The whole process with ACTS was a breeze! Their information, communication and preparation was reassuring and clear. Through ACTS I was able to volunteer in two nursery schools and in an abandoned baby’s home. I am a teacher and it was a privilege and a blessing to teach lessons and see such joy in the local children as they experienced things they had never done before, such as painting. I walked away from my ACTS experience, with a stronger faith and my eyes were opened to the impact that one volunteer can make in the lives of so many disadvantaged children. I have been blessed beyond expectation and would highly recommend volunteering through ACTS."
