What
Whether it’s lion rehabilitation in Zambia or pre-school teaching in Mozambique, Volunteer Africa offers you the opportunity to make a difference and shake up your own world! Volunteer Africa participants have the opportunity to live and work with other international volunteers, building lasting friendships, having tons of fun and discovering a totally different culture. Organised through Mission Travel, Volunteer Africa placements are done through existing, trusted not-for-profit organisations based in Africa. Stay for a month or a couple of years – it’s up to you.

Africa is a continent that will challenge any traveler. Through Volunteer Africa, you have the opportunity to make a real and measurable difference in people’s lives and to leave your mark on their hearts – and your own. Africa offers some of the world’s most diverse eco-systems and vibrant cultures. Many international organisations and foreign countries have been involved with charity in Africa and by doing voluntary work you will be contributing toward the further improvement of Africa.
Who
Volunteer Africa is open to people from all walks of life and all ages (over 17 years). Whether you are a backpacker, gap year student, on a career break or simply want to make a difference during part of your travels through Africa, you are most welcome to assist in one or more of our Africa volunteer projects.
